How to modify format for TableOfContents

Hi all,

My document is divided into parts, that are divided into chapters. I
use style "Title1" for parts, and "Title2" for chapters.

I'd like to show my Table of Contents approximatly like this

PART I. Introduction
Chapter 1. youth....................................................1
Chapter 2. Maturity ...............................................2

.... and so on.

I'd like the format of TOC1 to be centered with no page number at all.
Format for TOC2 should be left justified + dots + page number.

I am able to do the format for parts (although page number does not
go), but then, the dots of capters disappear.

I use Word 2003. Can anybody help?

I couldn't make the page number go away but you should be able to edit the
tabs of TOC1 to remove the leader for the tab stop where the page number
appears.

The tab settings for TOC2 should be independent of those in TOC1.

I just had an idea for removing the page number for TOC1 (your "Part"
headings):

Remove the leader from any tabs in TOC1 AND set the tab stop for the page
number at 8-1/2, i.e., just past the right margin of the page. That might
result in your have TOC1 with no leader and the page number actually
"displaying" or "printing" off the page.

How cool is that!?

Good luck.
