How to move data from word to excel?

D

Dzonis

The basic problem is that i need a macro to transfer data
from multiple word files to a single Excel spreadsheet.
How would it be possible to build a macro to do that?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dzonis

Hi Dzonis,

A combination of the method in either of these:

The article "Control Excel from Word" at:

http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/InterDev/ControlXLFromWord.htm

of

The article "Control Word from Excel" at:

and

The article "How to Find & ReplaceAll on a Batch of Documents in the Same
Folder" at:

http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MacrosVBA/BatchFR.htm

should be able to do it.

Thanks alot!
It did help, now i can get the script to get through all
of the files in the directory.
However i cannot store them in excel.
How do i make the script to search for the first blank
line with data in exel and then copy the required info
there?
I know there has to be some easy way to do this, but just
can't find one..
