How to Name Textbox Shape Objects

Admittedly, I'm not a Word expert, but I utilize Word for creating documents
using an OLE interface from a PowerBuilder program.

Is there a way to explicitly name a Textbox shape object in a Word Template?
I cannot find where in Word I can modify a shape's name, but hopefully
there's an easy way to do this since this will simplify my programming
efforts in dealing with several dozen Templates, each of who will contain at
least one Textbox shape object.

Hi John,

One way I have found to rename the Textbox shape object is through macro
code, which seems kind of kludgy.

It's the only way I know of.
