how to nudge a whole column

I'm trying to nudge that little line inbetween the boxes. But I have quite a
few boxes and tried nudging by selecting, but if I select the other line is
not selected. I have this org charts that I'm doing, and have too many boxes
for the page I'm using so I need to nudge expertly here

select more than one item by holding down shift key

also try aligning using the align function such as align centers vertically
or use "distribution" to align by spreading things out evenly.
