How to obtain best quality photo file from a placed image in Word

A

Anne

I was sent a Word document with an image placed in it. I do not have the
original image file, so need to extract it from the Word document.

When I copy it from the file, then open the photo in Photoshop, it appears
to be posterized, or simplified.

Is there a way to get a better quality image that looks like it does
onscreen in the Word document?

Try pasting the image into these programs instead of Photoshop:-
Either IrfranView from http://www.irfanview.net/
Or XnView from http://www.xnview.com/
