How to open an MPX file through a browser

I need to open an MPX file in a browser at runtime usign java. I have
Microsoft Office Project 2003 installed on my machine. I could open a .MPP
file but was unable to open a .MPX file.

I tried with following mime-types:
application/x-project
application/vnd.ms-project

but were of no use. Please let me know the right mime-type to open an
MPX file in a browser or any other possible alternative to open a .MPX file.

I don't think Project 2003 supports .mpx files any more. It may, however,
open them if you select All Files as a file type in File Open. Mpx is a
dead file format now. It has been replaced by .xml files that can store much
more information.

We are trying to generate project schedule programmatically that can be
accessed through Microsoft Office Project on web.

Can you please let us know any library that can create and read MPP files
