How to open .pps files ?

I have Windows 2000 and Outlook 2003 for email. The program options referred
by outlook don't include any that will open the .PPS files. When I checked My
Computer- Folder Options-File Types-Registered File Types, I found that files
with PPS extension are called SOFFICE6.PPS file types.

So I need some software to open these files but I don't know exactly what I
need to download or buy that will enable it . I did a download of a power
point viewer (2003) to the desktop but somehow Outlook doen't recognize it as
an optional program for opening .PPS files.

Has anyone had a problem like this - if so, what solution is available?

If you just downloaded the viewer to the desktop this would be the
installation file and you now need to install it. Double click on the icon
showing on the desktop to start the install process.
