How to paste text only -- shortcut

K

Kenjeev

I just figured out how to get a shortcut to paste text only. It's
really easy.

1) Click the record button at the bottom of the screen (REC)

2) Give your new macro a name, like PasteTextOnly, and a shortcut (I
used Cmd-Shift-Option-Z)

3) Paste something with Cmd-Z

4) Click the contextual menu button that appears, and choose "keep text
only"

5) Click the REC button again to stop recording.

Wow, how easy was that?

Dead easy, Alex! Much simpler than I had been describing it (having been
raised on Macs, I had never been near the "Rec" button knew it was there,
but the path via Tools menu => macros was so well-worn I never invoked it).

And you meant, in Step 3, Command-v, I guess? (v = viscous = paste is a good
way to remember.)
