Hello, I'm using an administrative install to deploy Office 2003 and
now I want to include Service Pack 1 into the install. I used the
Custom Installation Wizard to customize my install (its worked fine
for months now) and lately I've been trying to add SP1 into the
existing transform (mst). I've downloaded the SP1 file and exported
the msp files into a folder in the admin share. After that, I
customized the "ohotfix.ini" file to fit my installation needs and
then I added the "ohotfix.exe" file into step 16 (adding additional
files) of the Custom Installation Wizard. After saving the new mst and
making sure everythings in place, I tried running the install on a pc
that had Office 2003 with no SP1 but nothing happened. My goal is to
1)deploy Office 2003 w/SP1 on all machines that currently have Office
XP and 2) Update existing Office 2003 pcs with SP1. Can these two
scenarios be accomplished with the same mst? Should I create two
seperate installs? I'm not real familiar with different deployment
scenarios but I would like to continue using my admin point because
having users help out is not an option. Any help would greatly be
appreciated. Thanks
