How to Permanently Turn Off Task Pane Word 2003

Some versions of Word have a box at the bottom of the Task Pane you can uncheck to turn it off. In MS Office 2003 open Word, select Tools, Options, View tab, under the headline Show, unclick Startup Task Pane. This must be set individually in each program.
