I have inserted a text field (from the Developer tab) into a document. It
positions itself in line with the text, but I need it so that I can position
the text field *anywhere* within the document.
Anybody know a way?
WHAT I HAVE TRIED: I tried placing a text field within a text *box* (which
can indeed be placed anywhere in a document, just as I want), but when I
protected the document from editing (except filling in fields), Word would
not allow the user to edit the contents of these text fields (but would still
allow editing of text fields not within text boxes). So while this seemed
like a logical solution, it didn't work. It seems like a bug.
