How to prepare for Outlook 2007 upgrade

My office is going to upgrade to Office 2007. How best can I prepare
myself for coming in one morning and finding Outlook 2007 vs 2003?
Should I back up my pst file? WIll my macros make it over okay? What
about rules and recurring reminders?

If prepared everything should go automatically and it shouldn't involve
end-user interaction. Contact your IT-support desk if you have any concerns
and ask how they have planned the change for end-users.

Your first word - "If" - is the reason I have asked here rather than
my IT office. The first users have already had their push. It's not
been pretty!

Since there are many methods of deployment and you didn't mention your
current configuration, it's hard to give any recommendations. As I said;
they can prepare a deployment where everything updates smoothly but on the
other hand, they can also force it to reset all settings.

You might want to ask your colleagues about what went wrong for them. I hope
they also provided this feedback to their IT department so they can adjust
their deployment method.
