How to prevent 2nd instance of Access 2007 based application to be started

It all was under control using previous Access versions with
'Check4OtherDBInstance' as given in the 'Access-VBA Codebook;
Addison-Wesley; 2002'. When upgrading the application to Access 2007
(runtime version), any number of instances can be started.

Does anyone have an alternative to suggest that is going to work with Access
2007?
