How To Prevent Accidentally Deleting Email Message

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Is there a way to turn off the Command+Delete command or switch it to something else? As a recent Windows to Mac user, I mistakenly and unconsciously hit this command to delete a word or phrase INSIDE an email NOT the email itself. I can't tell how you how many emails I have written and mistype something and automatically and unconsciously hit this combo keystroke command only to see my LONG (why is it always a long email) message disappear. I can only mutter "D'ouh" some many times. I can't be the only former Windows now Mac user plagued by this keystroke combination. Any suggestions for how to resolve it? Thank you.

Command-Z will undo the last action. Generally over time repeated mistakes
will cause you to re-learn the action. :)

I understand this. However Command-Delete literally deletes the email message that I'm working on. Command-Z does NOT bring it back I have accidentally deleted whole messages now enough times to want to disable this command. Or reassign the command as something else. Can you help?

You can turn on the notifications that warns you that you are going to
delete the message. Open Preferences under Entourage in the Menu bar. Select
Notifications and check ³Require confirmation when deleting.²
