How to print comment text in PowerPoint 2003?

I have added several comments on a slide using PowerPoint 2003, and I
want to have them printed out along with the slide. When I select “Print
comments and markup” I seem to only get the reviewer’s initials (the
actual comment text does not get printed).

Is there any way to print comments in PowerPoint 2003 with the entire
comment text showing?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Hi Paul,

This newsgroup deals with PowerPoint on the Macintosh, which is
PowerPoint 2004. PowerPoint 2003 is only available for Windows.

On the Macintosh, in the Print dialog where it asks "Print what?" you
would set it to print Notes.

Hi Jim-

I got the impression he was referring to Comments as in the Insert
menu. I use PPt 2004 and comments on slides print regardless of whether
I print Notes or Slides.

Either way, the ref to 2003 is not as curious as "When I select
"Print
comments and markup""... I don't remember ever seeing this as a
Print option, PC or Mac, going back to v.1. Is this something new in XP
or 2003 that I haven't noticed yet? If you have any info on this I
really would like to know.

Thanx|:>)

In XP, there's an "Include comment pages" option in the print dialog
In 2003, it's "Print comments and ink markup" (ink markup being what you draw
with a pen/etc. during a presentation)

Hi Steve-

Thanks for the clarification! I haven't had a chance to look that
closely @ XP. I'm sticking with 2000 on the Win side and '03 on my Mac.

Thanx again|:>)

Hi,

I agree with you. Insert>Comment in PowerPoint 2004 are text boxes that
print by default. I didn't find a way to turn them off.

If they'd just spread the version numbers out more ... ;-)
