How to print multiple custom sized pages onto an A4 sheet?

I am trying to print a number of inserts using Word 2003 which need to be cut
to 8.8cm by 10.6cm to go with my wedding invites. I have custom-sized the
page to these measurements which prints out OK individually onto the A4
sheets I am using.

To save on paper I would like to print 4 of these pages onto an A4 sheet and
have tried using both 'print properties-multiple page' function or
'zoom/scaling' but neither appear to print out correctly within the
measurements I need. Any help would be very gratefully received as I am
about to admit defeat!
