I purchased a TC1100 tablet. It cam with a trial of
FranklinCovey TabletPlanner installed including a printer
object in the printer folder. I would like to purchase
OneNote but "OneNote Preview 2003" did not install OneNote
with a printer destination object in my XPTablet printer
folder. How can I get this much needed functionailty.

I'm not sure what you're asking. You want to take a file inFranklin and
print it to OneNote? You can't. OneNote isn't a printer program.

I want to take a print screen and print it to OneNote
just as I would to a PDF for example. I want to save,
export or send-to to OneNote from basic Windows
compatible applications. Just basic Windows
functionality.

The only thing you can do is take a screen shot and paste it into OneNote.
OneNote isn't a printer aware application like a PDF would be with a PDF
writer. OneNote is much more like Microsoft Word.

If you do much programming, you may want to look at the API that has been
added with SP1 (still in beta). It allows you to build applications which
will push content from other applications into OneNote. For information,
see these pages:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/office/de...en-us/odc_on2003_ta/html/odc_ON_ImportAPI.asp
(watch for word wrap on that)

Let us know if either of these options help!

If you have Office 2003, you can use Insert/Document as Pictures (only in
OneNote 2003 SP1). This handles *.doc, *.xls, *.ppt, and *.TIFF
(multi-page).

Or, again requiring Office 2003, print to the Microsoft Office Document
Image Writer (printer driver) (set the properties to output TIFF rather than
MDI). Then use Insert/Documet as picture in OneNote to get what you need.
This works for any format of source document.

I wrote a printer driver that does what you are asking. It
imports the printed image into OneNote page as the background
image using the SP1 import API.

Darron, that sounds great. Do you have a link to it?
