how to protect a cell

hi,

is there a way that i can protect 2 or 3 columns so that
the user can not change the formula?

Please let me now

The cells all have forumals in them (i still want the
formulas to work but dont want the user to change it) if
i can hind them its even better

Hi,

Select the cells/columns you want to protect, then choose
Format|cells|Protection and make sure the 'locked' option
is checked. If you want to hide the formulae, check
the 'hidden' option too. For other cells/columns, do the
same but make sure the 'locked' and 'hidden' options are
unchecked.

Then go into Tools|Protection|Protect Sheet and protect
the worksheet, using a password if you need the extra
security.
