How to publish a web site with publisher 2007?

David,
You gave a good answer as usual but the question was so short, I thought a
similar answer would be appropriate.
But I guess my answer was wasted on the OP.

Oh, I kind of liked your answer. <g> And my answer wasn't rather
succinct...for a change <grin again>.

Duh...obviously I am very challenged when I am succinct. I meant to say
*was* rather succinct.

The article referred to was good, except that I don't seem to have "Save In"
(step 2 on "Publish a website using FTP") anywhere. Where the heck do I find
it???

Look more closely. After you click 'Publish to the web" look at the top,
left of the dialog that comes up.

Depending on which version of Publisher you are using and which operating
system, you may find that use FileZilla an easier way of FTP uploading. Post
back with those details if you want more specifics.

I've looked very closely, honestly! I'm running Pub 2007 on Vista. However,
don't worry, I've managed to solve the problem -- I just typed the whole of
the ftp address into the "File Name" box near the bottom of the dialog.
Thank you for responding,

Sorry about that. I am still running XP, and the dialogs for Vista are
obviously different. Uploading changed in general with Vista. If you look at
that link I gave you again, under the Publish a Web site by using FTP
section there is a plus sign. If you click that plus sign they give one
explanation of the difference between XP and Vista.

Thanks for posting back your solution. It seems much easier than the
solution offered by MSFT.

I have a question maybe someone can help me. I recently published my website
(which I designed in pub 07) all the links work great on explorer but on
firefox the links do not open and we are stuck on the home page.
advhminspection.com.

Any ideas, my server network solutions says that my htm files should open in
any browser.

Don't use a gradient fill with your navbar buttons. It results in the text
being converted to an image and kills the links. If you are invested in the
look, create a second text box with the gradient fill and put it behind the
other text box. You can layer the two and the text will not be converted to
an image. Alternatively put a hotspot link on top of the current gradient
link navbar buttons.

For more details about how Publisher will convert text boxes to images when
you use gradient fills, fancy borders, etc. read my post today to: Alison in
regards to "pictures can't be seen by some people" 6-14.
