In any task View, temporarily insert the Publish column. Set the Publish
value to Yes for any tasks you want to publish and no to those you don't
want to publish. I'm not sure it's worth the bother, but that's how to do
it. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

We are having a slightly different issue - A user inserts the Publish column
and changes some of the values to NO in order to stop notifications of
completed tasks from going out again; however, the summary task does not
change and cannot be modified and the users still receive notifications even
though it is marked NO in the publish column.

As a matter of fact, we are experiencing the same issue with the status
manager column - it changes for the tasks but not for the summary tasks.

Any ideas? I know you the EPM master ....please HELP!

I think your efforts will be futile in this case since you are dealing with
a known bug in Project Server 2007. Every time the PM publishes an
enterprise project, EVERY team member gets an e-mail message from Project
Server, even if his/her assignment schedule has not changed. That is why we
recommend that all team members disable the Personal Settings option to
receive an e-mail message when the schedule changes. They should leave the
first option enabled, however, so that they get an e-mail whenever they have
new assignments in a new or existing project. Hope this helps.
