How to publish the same infopath form to muliple sharepoint web sites

My company has two SharePoint sites. Access to one site is limited to a few
document creators and the other site has a wide audience. Infopath documents
are publised to the site with limited access. Once document form content is
approved, we need to copy the document to the public site. To make this
work, does the form need to be published to both SharePoint sites? If I
understand correctly, publishing to a second site changes the schema. Does
that cause a problem?
