How to put background in only one page (cover) of the document?

I am trying to put the background on the cover page of my document. But when
I go to format-background-color, it appears on the whole document. Is it
possible to limit this to just one page.

Check "Different first page" on the Layout tab of Page Setup and anchor your
watermark to the First Page Header. If you're using Format | Background |
Printed Watermark, what this will mean in practical terms is that you insert
the watermark, then delete it from the Header, leaving it only in the First
Page Header. Or, if the watermark has already been inserted, you'll probably
have to cut it from the Header and paste it into the First Page Header.
