How to put page # at right & left hand side of pages

Ty Archer

I am printing on both sides of pages (duplex). How do I
put page numbering at the right hand side for first side
of page and then number at the left hand side for the
reverse side of pages.

Thanks very much

Hi Ty,

Use Odd and Even Headers/Footers. Or you can use the Insert>Page Numbers
utility and choose the "Inside" alignment option.

There is a simple, though not obvious way to do this. Go to Page_Setup;
LayoutTab; and check the "Different odd and even" under Headers and
Footers. Now along with the headers being different than the footers,
the odd numbered page Headers and Footers can be different than the
even numbered pages.

Also useful to know: if you want to have margins that are not the same,
(IE you want a wider "binding margin" on the left), go to the
Margins_Tab, and select MirrorMargins
