document. I must accidentally closed it out and I can't find out how I can

Do you mean the task pane? View, task pane. If you always want it available,
Tools, Options, General tab, check Use New Publication task pane at startup. Not
sure this is applicable to web page setup.

Thank you. But I am not looking for new publication task pane. It is called
"Web Site Options" when I looked at some of my old publication. It has the
publication design, navigation bar, add to your web site, preview your web
site type of obtions. Also, I use to be able to click on the navigation bars
and it shows a pen for me to change navigation bar... Now I click on the
navigation bar, it doesn't allow me to do that. Now I am not sure how can I
change my navigation bar links.
Please help.
Thanks.

If you are using Pub 2003 then it is View> Task Panes or Ctrl+ F1.
Then at the top of the pane you can choose which one you need.

Using Pub 2003, if I open a existing web publication file and go to View >
task pane, then the task pane opens to "Web site options", as you described.
What do you get when your open your existing publication and go to View >
task pane?

Under File, do you have the option of "Convert to Print publication" or
"Convert to Web Publication"?

If you click on the nav bar and go to Format > Navigation bar properties.
What do you get?

When I go the the task pane, it shows New from a design, under it has:
Publications for print
Websites and email
Design Set
Blank Publications
Templates

Under File, I have "Convert to Print Publication" but no convert to web
publication.

When I go to format, there are not Navigation bar properties.

So I don't know what it is. Please advise.

Thanks.

Yes. I am using Pub 2003.
I select the navbar before go to Format now but still no navigation bar
properties.
There is a "wizard for the object" is not function in the format tab.
I used a template to build the nav bar and it used to have a wizard to allow
me to add, remove or modify links. but now it is gone.
If it is corrupted, how can I rebuild a nav bar?
Please advise.

Attached is my web site: www.dancewearworks.com

I really want to thank all of you to help me build this site. I learned so
much from you guys. I start to build the website with ZERO knowledge about
building a website and now I actually have a web site!! I know I can't do it
without you guys. I can't say thank you enough for that.
Thank you and I really appreciated.

Are you using Pub 2003?

Did you open your web publication file and select the navbar before you went
to Format > Navigation bar properties?

Did you click the downward pointing chevron to see all the options under the
Format menu?

Did you build the navbar with the wizard, or did you build it manually?

What is the URL of your website so we can look at your navbar?

You may have corrupted your navbar, and may need to rebuild it.

It appears that you may have corrupted the nav bar. Note that most of your
links are to the .htm file in the index_files folder such as this:
http://www.dancewearworks.com/index_files/Contactus.htm
However, the links in your nav bar to the smoothgowns page, and men's wear,
and practice wear are written like this:
http://www.dancewearworks.com/smoothgowns1.htm

I don't know how you managed to do that unless you change the links manually
instead of through the wizard. Try right clicking the menu...the nav bar,
and Wizard for this object. If you don't get the Navigation Bar in the task
pane where you also get Change navigation bar and a link to Add, remove, and
reorder links, then it appears you have corrupted the navbar.

Back up your file, and then go through each page Tools > Web Page Options
and make sure that "Add hyperlink to new navigation bars that are added to
this publication" is checked. Then go through each page and delete the
nabar...select and cut to delete. The go to your first page, Insert >
Navigation Bar > choose your old style or a new style navbar and Insert
Object. This brings up a new dialog and make sure that "Insert on every
page" and Automatic update is checked, ok. This should create a new navbar
on each page...just drag and position it where you want it. Now you should
be able to access Web Site Options in the task pane, and your Navigation Bar
task.

You will probably have to remove and add back in the bottom navbar.

If you get confused, just open help and type in "navigation" and it will
give you lots of good documentation.
