How to re-display all birthday entered into contacts?

Until recently Outlook in calendar view also displayed all birthdays
that I had entered in my contacts. For some strange reason these are all
gone (i.e. the birthdays are still in the contacts, but they are not
displayed in calendar view any more). Any idea why these are gone and
how one can get these birthdays to display again?

I already missed two birthdays for that reason and it starts to get
embarrassing...

Did you recently import your contacts? If yes, this is a known issue that can be avoided by opening contacts in the .pst file rather than opening. Your only recourse is to open the contacts, change one item on the birthday and change it back.

Now that you ask: yes! I re-installed my system about 6 weeks ago and
just copied the .pst file over from the old HD to the new and continued
to use it on the new system.

Your only recourse is to open the contacts, change one item on the
birthday and change it back.

Couldn't one do that automatically - e.g. using some VBA script or
something of that sort? Alas, I am not a VBA expert at all, but I
imagine that this shouldn't be to difficult. Has anybody already written
something like this? Or something similar that I could use as a starting
point?
