how to receive emails from certain date using outlook

i always need to format and reinstall xp on my computer, but the annoy thing
is that whenever i reinstall outlook or outlook 2007, after setting up to
receive my yahoo account, outlook will receive my yahoo mail from very
beginning, this is quite time consuming, why outlook could not set up the
account receiving my yahoo email from certain date, then i can control what
email i want, what i do not

Log onto your Yahoo account via the web interface and create a new folder.
Move to that folder all the messages in Inbox that you don't want Outlook to
download. Leave in the Inbox those messages you want Outlook to download.
