How to receive the responses from a meeting request from a sub-cal

I have set up a secondary calendar to share with several people. I need to be
able to send out meeting requests from this calendar and receive the
responses. Is there a way to tie my email account to a second calendar?

Only your default calendar will fire reminders. You need to buy a
third-party tool for non-default folders. See
