How to record delays for future analysis in MS project?

Hello,

I want to understand how can I record delays in MS project for future analysis.
For example – after I take a plan baseline – I want to be able to insert a comment and a reason for a delay each time a major milestone get pushed (I also want to be able to select the major milestone that will trigger the comment popup).
Is there such a system in MS project?
