Hi Darkrats,
For Office 2003 the MSOCache folder (optional item) was placed on the drive with the most free space at the time of installation
(unless you had an NTFS formatted drive and one that wasn't then it would try to use NTFS first). THe MSOCache (Local Installation
Source/LIS) could be moved using a MS Utility.

For Office 2007 the MSOCache folder (required item) is placed on the drive of the local computer that will hold Office 2007 and
relocation is no longer supported.

The actual installation of MS Office occurs from the MSOCache folder when it's available.

I'd like to know why the MSOCache folder appears on my otherwise empty D
partition (at least when installing 2003), and not on my C partition. Anyone
know if this is normal behaviour during the installation? >>
