Not in Word 2008. You need VBA to do this.
And the code is not easy to write, because it is not possible in Word to
distinguish between "a style that was applied to text but the text is no
longer in the document" and a "style that is currently applied to text that
is currently in the document"
The best way I have found is to create a new blank document, then paste the
content from the old document into it. Only styles that really are applied
to text will get pasted.
Hope this helps
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel
Does anyone know if there is a fast way to remove all unused styles in a
document?
I have 8 or so long files to edit today and I'd like to figure out some
shortcuts.
Thanks!
