how to remove an address from the task update list - Office 2003

Briefly, assigned a recurring task to someone while on leave and have had it
returned to me, but the person is updated every time I complete this task.
Their e-mail address is in the details tab under "Update list". How do I
remove this? I am noted as the owner of the task in the task tab, and have
removed the assignment.

Delete the Task and start again. If the person who requested the Task set
their system to "keep an updated copy on my tasklist" they will get updates
forever.

Thanks Judy. I suspected as much and had done that. Thought it was odd though
and there may have actually been a straight forward way of doing it.
