How to remove / deactivate all links in a doc?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Does anyone know how to quickly remove or deactivate all linked text in a document? And/or how to do a Search & Replace on a linked phrase?

I have 8 or so long files to edit today and I'd like to figure out some shortcuts.

For instance, throughout these 8 docs, this phrase repeats about 100 times:

For dimensions and details, view More Info.

The entire sentence is a link. I'd like to replace it with the same phrase, but not as a link.

I know that I could c/p the contents into TextEdit and then c/p back into my docs, but I'd rather not lose my styles.

My finished files will not have any linked text in them; they'll only have "placeholders" for linked text.

Thanks!

Thanks, Bob & Clive for you answers back in Oct to someone else.

Option-F9 did the trick!

Assuming you do want to unlink all field in the document: Use Command+A
(Select All) then use Command+Shift+F9 or Command+6 to unlink the fields.

If you want to examine them individually in context you can use the Browse
By feature at the bottom of the Vertical Scroll Bar to Browse by Field or
use ^d in the Find dialog. Use the same stroke as you come to one to be
unlinked. There may be a Find & Replace option for global unlinking but I'm
afraid I don't know what to codes to suggest if there is.
