How to remove extra spaces between words?

Kindly advise how I can remove many double spaces between words in a Word
document? eg: Mary had a little lamb. It's fleece was white as snow.

Thanks for the response.

you would have extra 'space' if the line was justified instead of left,
right, or center alignment

A quick and dirty way is to do a search and replace. Search for
spacespace, and replace with space. Space of course stands for the
spacebar. Since sentences usually end with periodspacespace, you will
probably need to go back and replace periodspace with
periodspacespace. No doubt there is a fancier way.

In Word Find and Replace

Find " {2,}" - without the quotes - that's space, left brace, two, comma,
right brace
Replace with " " - without the quotes - that's space
Check "Use Wildcards"

Hit Replace All
