How to remove "Favorites Folder" from Outlook 2003

Hi I just upgraded to Outlook 2003 from 2002. In 2002 on
the left hand side (the "Navigation Pane" I think they
call it) I had just the "Folder list" (Inbox, Sent items,
Trash can, etc) but NOT the "Favorites". I
removed "Favorites" because I never used it and it just
cluttered up the screen. Now that I upgraded to Outlook
2003 the "Favorites" folder is back and I cannot for the
life 'o me figure out how to make it go away.

The Favorites Folder window in the Navigation Pane is completely different
from the Favorites button in previous versions of Outlook. It is a place to
put your most commonly access folders so you do not need to expand the
folder tree to find items of importance.
