How to Remove Items From "Tools"

Hi Everybody-

This is an MS Word 2002 / XP SP2 question)

I use a Palm Tungsten-T and recently installed a program called
"PDA-Mate" which let me copy and paste from MS Word and MS Internet
Explorer to the Memo Pad on my Palm. I uninstalled the program, and it
did a pretty good job of cleaning itself off my PC, except for this
one annoyance:

In MS Word, if you go to the toolbar and go to "Tools", there's still
the remaining icon in the toolbar called "Send to PDA" from that
program I uninstalled.

I've searched every file on my PC and also searched the Registry, but
can't seem to remove this phantom icon.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? These kinds of things drive me
crazy!

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi, Jeff,

Have you customized the menu to remove the button?
If so, does it still come back?

If so, try going to Tools, Templates and Add-Ins and seeing if there's still
an add-in that you can remove which might be loading into your default
template. If that doesn't help, try renaming or deleting the default
template file, normal.dot. Word will re-generate one when launched again.

Hope that helps--
