How to remove Junk E-mail Reporting Tool "Completely"

L

laubin

Hi All,
I had the Junk E-mail Reporting Tool disabled by Outlook. I guess I
(Outlook) was having issues with it, as well as a couple of other tools.

I can't seem to completely remove it in order to reinstall it so that I can
use it again.

I have tried everything. I've even been in the Registry and did a manual
search for any mention of it and yet it still shows up as a "disabled" tool.

How can I completely uninstall it and make Outlook allow me to reinstall it
and use it?

Thanks for any help and info.

Hi Sue, thanks for the response.

I'm running 2007.

I recently discovered a funny thing. When I logged on as the Administrator
it was enabled and worked just fine!

But under my normal user account it has been disabled and I can't even
uninstall it or reinstall it as I get the following error:

The connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
cannot be changed.

Can you help? (And again thanks for responding)

If it's registered in HKLM, then you should be able to uninstall it when logged in as the Administrator. I'd leave it uninstalled. It's not like it's a tool critical to your operation. I haven't been able to find any support for its problems at Microsoft.
