How to remove the favourite list under the address bar?

In Internet Explorer 8, the history list and favourite list are shown under
the address bar. While it is quite easily to remove the history list under
Internet Options, the titles or headings of the websites in the favourite
list are still in display no matter how you delete them. The full http://www.
..... are shown in grey-scaled. How to remove all these favourite list? Can we
adjust the setting in a such way that the favourite list will NEVER be shown
at all?

Thank you.
