How to remove user and group permission on acess database?

Hello,

I create user level security for my access database by mistake. Now when
I want to open any database on my computer, the system asks me to enter the
user name and password. How can I remove this security and come back to
non-security case?

Best regards

Log in as a user in the Admins group. It may just be a matter of logging in
with the user name and password, depending on how far you got into the
process of setting up security. Be sure the default workgroup is
System.mdw. Grant full permissions to the Users group and to the Admin
user. Be sure the Admin user is in the Admins group, and clear the password
for the Admin user.

Here are some links to user-level security information:

I have found Jack MacDonald's paper to be thorough and clear, but the other
links are very useful too.

You've most likely joined your machine to a non-default workgroup. Open the Workgroup Administrator (Tools - Security in
Access 2003, otherwise search for wrkgadm.exe) and see if you're joined to System.mdw.

If you are not, then locate and re-join system.mdw. This should remove the prompt.

If you are joined to system.mdw, then you'll need to follow the advice from BruceM and reset this - or just delete the
system.mdw file. Access will recreate it as needed, without the users and such.
