How to Rename a Screen Clip page

P

PT

If I click “New Page”, ON2007 creates a blank page and opens a title
box, allowing me to give it a title. It inserts the title both at
the top of the page , and also on the tab on the right hand side of
the page. I can thus rename the page, by changing the data in the
title box at the top of the page.

But if I use a screen clip, ON creates a page without a title field, a
page tab labeled “screen clipping taken xx/xx/xx” and thus no apparent
way to rename it.

Is there a way to give the screen clipping a new title?

One way is to enter the name you want in a blank space above the screen
clip. If needed, move the screen clip down to create a blank space.

Not really a workaround.
"Format | Show Page Title is ways easier and ways more efficient.

You can also insert a title on the page with Ctrl-T (or in OneNote 2010 this
changed to Ctrl-Shift-T).

Note that we fixed this up in OneNote 2010, when you create a screen cliping
the newly created page has a title bar which is blank and then the normal
screen clipping. By default the page tab will have the same title of
“Screen clipping...” but now if you want to retitle it you can quickly go to
the blank title and add in whatever you want!

So looks like we made this better in OneNote 2010 : )

Good feedback, thanks all
