How to rename a Word 2000 template

My Word 2000 program is loaded on my Windows XP system. I am trying to
change the name of one of the templates I previously created. Windows has
so-far refused to let me get to that template.

Can you tell me how to perform this task?

what does Windows do when you try? Can't you locate it on your HD, or is
it locked for editing? Have you closed down Word while trying to do
this? Any error messages?
