How to reply automatically from secondary address

My primary email account includes several secondary email addresses. Incoming messages are automatically forwarded to my default account.

However, when I reply to an email that was forwarded, my default account shows as the sender. I want the reply to show as being sent from the secondary account that received the incoming mail. Is there a setting that will do that automatically for me?

Thanks so much.

Hi Diane (again)

Forgive me if I missed or misinterpreted the info on that page. It shows me how to manually change the From line, which I have been doing.

I have a default account and several secondary accounts. I want replies to automatically say they are from the account/address the original email was sent to.

Is that possible?

PS - All the accounts download together into my mailbox, so unless I specifically look for the info, I don't know which account an email was sent to.

Also, I did not check "Reply using the default account" in preferences.

Thank you again.

You could create a rule that either moves mail from xx account to xx folder,
or create a category for each account and assign a color for each that will
identify visually which account was used.

Are these actual accounts are alias accounts? You can send messages through
these alias accounts, but note that since your alias only redirects to your
main account, you cannot configure Entourage to reply via the alias e-mail
address which the original message was sent to. See this on using alias
accounts:
