How to restore mail - I had Office, now I have Express!!

Hi . I've reformatted my PC and backed up (exported) mail, but I now think I
had Office Outlook 2003 and didn't realise it . Now I've got Express 6. I
didn't know they were very different.

The back up's are on my hard drive, and are .pst files. They are listed as
archive.pst, personal folders.pst and 'email account name'.pst.

I'm a bit confused by the different programs and can't access the old one as
it's been wiped. I've tried importing the messages through the normal
process but that's not working.

Can anyone shed any light on this situation please?

You need Outlook in order to acess these files.
If you dont have the MS Office cd, or an Outlook cd, you cannot install
outlook or access the files.
