How to Restore Profile/Contacts

A

AZGeld

I just deleted my entire profile -- and my contacts, through the control
panel, when I was trying to edit instead. I've lost my contacts and am
desperate to find out how to restore them --- are they still somewhere on my
computer? Thanks.

Deleting a profile never touches your data. You data file is still where it
always was. If you haven't kept track of it or haven't backed it up (both
very bad moves), search for it.
The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:

I think I've found the data file (searched *.pst), but how do I open it and
transfer the files back? Thanks so much. I'm feeling a little bit better.

Am I "restoring" or "importing" the .pst file? I'm reading the document in
the 2nd link that you sent. THanks!
