Restore Outlook Express Address Book (WAB) – Quick Steps​

1. Check for Backup:
   • Go to: C:\Documents and Settings\{Your Username}\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
     
     
   • Look for .WAB or .WA~ files.
   • Rename .WA~ to .WAB and try opening it.
2. Use Built-in Repair Tool:
   • Press Win + R, type wab /a, and hit Enter.
   • If it opens, export contacts via File > Export > Address Book (WAB).
3. Restore a Previous Version:
   • Right-click the .WAB file > Restore previous versions > Choose an older version.
4. Import into Another Program:
