how to retain docx format while having macros included - Office 20

Hi,

since i would like to include macros, for a docx file where i have lot of
content controls for data place holders (entry purpose).

it forces me to save as docm. format. would like to any other way i can
retain docx with macro included?

You can't. It's a "security feature".

If you get a docx file, you know it's an ordinary document which can't harm
your system. If you get a docm file, there is a chance that there is a piece
of code somewhere in that file that does something bad to your computer.

Doug Robbins - Word MVP

Use docm format. Or, distribute an Addin (template that is saved in the
Word Startup folder) that contains the code.

See fellow MVP Graham Mayor's response to the initial question in that
thread in which he suggested that the OP had actually created the macro in
the Normal.dotm template and the response from the OP that Graham's
suggestion was correct.
