How to retain original formatting

I'm switching from MS Word 2007 to Word 2008 for Mac. In 2007 if I wanted to copy from say, a web page, I could open Word, paste and have the option to keep the original format or change to the destination format. If Word 2008 has such an option, I can't find it. If not, how can I copy a page with pix or drawings into Word 2008 and keep the graphics?

You can click on Edit>Paste Special... in Word, or you can paste the
clipboard content and then click on the SmartTag button that appears
immediately behind the pasted text and choose the appropriate option. The
content that is put into the clipboard is also determined by the browser you
are using; some browsers will only place text in the clipboard and leave out
the pictures.

As Michel replied, you'll find that typical browser behavior in OS X is
considerably different than the indiscriminate nature of Internet Explorer 6
& earlier. IE 7 is a bit more particular about what manner of stuff it dumps
to the clipboard :)

When copying, use the Control/Right-Click method to see what options are
provded by the browser you're using.

Hi

My favorite approach is a bit different. I use File Save in my web
browser and save the web page to my hard drive.

Then I use File Open in Word and open the saved web page. I'm usually
pretty happy with the results, at least as far as Word is able to
process web pages.
