How to retrieve and upd "checkin pending" projects in Proj Server

Created project, saved and published to project server. Used for several
weeks, updating, saving and republishing. Now I bring up the project and it
says "checkin pending". I cannot retrieve the project except as a read only,
then save under a new name. This has happened several times, even after I am
99.9% certain that I saved, published and checked in the project when leaving
it.

Is there a way to retrieve a project with the status of "checkin pending"?

Hi Joe,

There are a couple of things you can do.

1. If you have access under GO TO within Project Center you can see if you
can check in any of your pending projects.

2. If you don't have access or you don't see the project there, then check
with your Administrator. If they don't see any projects pending check in for
you.

3. Then within Project Professional --- Tools --- Local Project Cache --
Cleanup Cache. Within here there are two areas Not checked out to you,
remove the project within question regardless if it says checked out or not
and then go back to the dropdown box and select Projects Checked out to you
and if it is there, clear that as well. (It's more than likely just in the
NOT checked out to you.)

One thing that I have found with my PM's if they open a project that is on
the server then save it to a folder on another drive then close out, it
leaves their local cache thinking it is in a pending check in state.

Hope that helps.
