Hi

i have scenario where company director is requesting if it is possible.
The senario is he likes to work only on outlook 2003 interface.
On his laptop he has office 2007 outlook working in exchange cashed mode,
I have terminal server installed for company users and director normally
gets on it to browse the compnay netowrk and perform complex tasks.. at that
time he does not have his laptop with him and watnts to open outlook on
terminal server and work on exact same copy of outlook as he has on his
laptop and once he back on to laptop all work that he has done gets some how
synchronized to his laptop outlook like sent e mail recvd e mail contacts
add calander add etc..

and same vise versa when he work on his laptop he normally has internet on
vimax so it must get shome how sync with terminal server outlook profile
that he has.. so this way he has 2 running copy of outlook from where ever
he watns to..

plesae let me know if this is possible
we do have outlook web access but he does not like since it does not do what
microsoft outlook do.

i hope there is a solution for this.

Thank you.

If he's using an Exchange account, he can access that account from any PC he
wishes and they'll all contain the same data. If he's moved anything out of
the mailbox to a PST, though, then naturally the two Outlooks won't match.

First off, he needs to use Outlook in either online or cached mode - no PST
files. Then the mailboxes are going to be identical.

Did you install outlook on the terminal server? If he wants outlook 2003,
you need to install it - there is no way to change the outlook 2007
interface to look like 2003. Also, if you decide to uninstall outlook 2007
and install 2003, you should remove the entire office 2007 suite and install
office 2003, otherwise he won't have the full editing features of word in
his email.

if he is configured to use the exchange service in his profile, set it as
default and move the items from the pst to the mailbox. Cached mode is
Exchange service in an offline mode - so that profile is fine.

I don't see why he'd need to downgrade. He should be able to access the
Exchange mailbox from either OL 2003 or OL 2007. If he's using a PST, he
can add the Exchange mailbox to the mail profile, if it's not already there,
make it the delivery location, then copy the PST data to the mailbox.
