How to save cropped drawing using Microsoft Office Picture Manag

I am trying to use MS Office Picture Manager to edit a drawing by cropping
the bottom portion of the drawing (blank area). I am working with a TIF
drawing. After using the cropping handles to remove the bottom blank portion
of the drawing, I click OK. Then I go to File, save as, then save it under a
new name. But when I go back to review the new saved drawing, it is
completely blank but the file size changes from about 768KB to 2.3MB.
