How to save files so as not to lose on a new version install

Owen

I need to unistall an expired basic trial version of Office in order to
install and run a trial version of Office Professional but am told I need to
make sure saved files are not in the same folder so as not to lose them. How
do I verify which folder they are in and how/where do I move them to insure
they are safe?
Also in Outlook, similar situation...is there a way to save all old emails,
journal entries etc?

Hi Owen,

Just for your information, no matter you remove and
reinstall MS office, this will not delete any of your personal files
including information that's available in outlook.

Just ensure that you do not delete any files manually J

Your office docs would by default be located in My Documents
Uninstalling Office doesnt impact on docs, niether does uninstalling Outlook

I'm not sure if having used a trial that has now expired, whether you can
actually install & use another trial version, even though the versions
differ.
